Time Magazine Mocks Asian Voice

In a blog We likee Hirally! She best quality Lisa Takeuchi Cullen mocks the asian accent with the title on a piece about asian votes..

at first i thought i was reading a piece by rush limbaugh or
ann coulter but a time magazine correspondent!

ouch..

you’d think after it darkened the photo of oj simpson it wouldn’t go out of its way to mock asians – esp when its magazines sell in asia and is a big revenue..

strange and stupid…

  1. You are aware—-since you read the post—that Cullen is Asian herself, right? You just felt it unnecessary to mention?

  2. so is it ok for time to hire an asian to insult asian then? how would say the black community feels if a black writer make fun of blacks on behalf of an institution like time? That’s acceptable too?
