Amira Hass is an Israeli journalist who writes for the liberal daily paper Ha’aretz. Having lived in the Gaza and now residing in Ramallah in the West Bank, Hass is famous for reporting from the Palestinian viewpoint on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In this conversation taped for UC Berkeley TV in 2003, Hass shares her understanding of the Israeli occupation, Palestinian terrorism, and the consequences of the conflict for the daily lives of both Israelis and Palestinians.
