San Francisco’s Little Saigon, home of the largest concentration of Vietnamese in the city, got a shiny new addition on Wednesday, July 15.

Five years after the Board of Supervisors passed a resolution recognizing Little Saigon, and the city gave $72,000, the community went to work constructing marble pillars topped by dragons on the corner of Larkin and Eddy Streets near City Hall.

Speakers praised the community for its perseverance and success over three decades in this country.
