In the back of the house at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, one of the most luxurious in the US, Dinorah Galdamez, a housekeeper, makes beds and cleans rooms, Narciso Elusorio, a laundry worker, sorts linens for washing, and Charles Hodge, a bathroom attendant, empties the trash, while cooks prepare meals, dishwashers stack clean plates and PBX operators answer the phones. They are invisible to most guests, yet they all create the experience of staying at a Class A hotel. They all belong to Local 11 of UNITE HERE, the national union for hotel workers.
