This side of a two-sided billboard depicts an earthquake-rattled Market Street in San Francisco. The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter uses the billboard, as well as a van that shakes, simulating a quake, in its campaign to raise disaster-preparation awareness. The other side of the billboard illustrates the iconic Ferry Building in similarly dire circumstances. The U.S. Geological Survey predicts a 62 percent chance of a catastrophic quake hitting the Bay Area within 30 years.
