I’m-plicitally Racist

When surfing through my favorite blog-site, I came across an article in which it references a test conducted by Harvard researchers. “Project Implicit” offers tests in over 90’s subjects that can supposedly measure a bias or preference toward a certain group in that category. After remembering that I saw a segment on Oprah last year about this study, I decided to take the test to see if I have a preference towards European-Americans vs. African-Americans.

After being asked a series of questions, and playing some word association games, this stupid test told me, that I have a “slight preference towards European-Americans.” The nerve! I am the most Black-nationalist-Malcolm x-free-Mumia-I voted for Obama-black person I know, and to say that I have a preference towards Europeans, well, that’s just embarrassing.

All in all, I take the results with a grain of salt, I remember when I saw participants take the same test on Oprah, and their worlds were shattered when they were found to be “racist”. I mean, there’s only so much that a White, male Harvard graduate can tell me about being racist (see how prejudice that sounded? ‘Slight preference’, please).
