Protest is War: RNC Day 1

My first day of the Republican National Convention and fresh off of the plane find myself in the midsts of a protest.

Protest is war.

I followed along, experiencing things I’m so use to seeing in San Francisco. Protests, angry faces spitting in to bull horns, gutter punks with smudged phone numbers written on their sweaty skin just in case they get lost or arrested they know who to call.

Parents mourn fallen soldiers outside of St. Paul’s City Hall.

The coffin is a tribute to fallen soldier Lieutenant CPL Alexander S. Arredondo.

Politicians and well-known world figures were depicted as buffoons and money hungry hyenas with sign’s and masks. From the anarchists passing out pamphlets about their new upstart school, to youth empowering other youth to educate themselves on the issues, it seemed like the last thing on peoples minds was the convention, but rather the joy of screaming there heads off was real reason for the clinch of their fists.

Youth empowering other youth to educate themselves on the issues at the RNC.
