Bristol’s Baby Could Mean End of Roe v. Wade

If Sen. John McCain is elected President of the United States in November, myself, as well as the thousands of women in the US, will have lost our reproductive rights.

Even though the right to choose exists, I am petrified that I will have to someday make the decision. But what is more terrifying is that not too long from now, the female population may not have a choice at all.

John McCain has stated that he is pro-life. He does not believe in abortion. In a story released by TIME, McCain was quoted in saying, “I will be a pro-life president, and this presidency will have pro-life policies.”

The woman of the hour, Gov. Sarah Palin has echoed McCain’s pro-life policies. A story on the Huffington Post reports that in November of 2006, Palin stated she would not support abortion even if her daughter had been raped.

Wow. There really are no words to express how horrible that really sounds.

Palin’s daughter, Briston Palin has become the epicenter of media coverage due to her pregnancy at 17-years-old. Until Bristol releases her memoirs entitled ‘How Being Sarah Palin’s Daughter Made me Mental’ we probably won’t know how Bristol really feels about the bun in the oven. The fact that Bristol will have never had the choice to say, “No, I don’t want to have this baby,” is a warning cry to all females.

Sarah Palin may be the first female to have a good chance of having one of the top positions in the United States of America, but despite the fact that she may be the driving force behind the McCain campaign – or maybe just a new GOP celebrity (Gasp! – yeah, I said it! Deal with it) her views on abortion are not what America needs right now. Young America needs an administration that won’t put us in dept and kill social security, who won’t jeopardize the lives of their citizens because of their beliefs, and will put domestic welfare before sending our armies off to war.

Palin may spark McCain’s image, and she make history in November. But that doesn’t matter to me, what matters is my health and my rights – two things that no one, not even the President of the United States, has the right to take away.

  2. Seems that the population self-identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) becomes more and more. According to my experience on the site BisexualMingle dotcom (a site for LGBT coming out, explore sexuality, etc.), there are about 150 members per day and they are very active. You can imagine.

  3. Murder is it? You bring babies into the world, dress them up in cute uniforms and take them to church to understand God, give them an education and then give them military training and blow their arms and legs off in a war without reason or cause while waving the flag. Like war, murder is a task from God.
