YO!
YO! is a collection of short pieces by the writers at Youth Outlook!
These are my thoughts on the economy, the government, and a mild conspiracy theorist rant: For starters, on Monday, the stock market had a huge crash. And for many of us young people, who don’t have much of a portfolio anyway, this isn’t anything too outstanding. WRONG! Right before the end, there is a series of unfortunate events: the stock market crashes, tornadoes and hurricanes strike, housing is all bad, come on people the end is coming. It’s like red pill blue pill (Matrix) time. Not to suggest that I believe Obama is the Messiah and everything is going to be okay if he’s elected, but stuff is getting out of hand, and with the way things are going in this country/world, we can’t afford to take the wrong pill. Imagine how more crazy it will get if Sarah Palin has anything to do with it? I mean, I don’t know exactly what she’s capable of doing, but she just looks like one of those people who ruins stuff. Rambling, I’m rambling. I just take it as a sign of the times, look at the world around you, and just because we’re young, at least in my experience, I tend to feel like this stuff doesn’t affect me, it doesn’t matter, but all of this craziness is creating the world that we will inherit post-McCain or whatever other disaster we should encounter. Make like my brotha Lawrence Fishburne in ‘School Daze’ and, “WAKE UP!”> |
