YO!
YO! is a collection of short pieces by the writers at Youth Outlook!
My name is Valerie, and I am a mother. Recently I’ve came across a website that helps young parents understand why their child is having problems. To me it seems important to know the different reasons, even if you know you child— you should be open to constructive criticism. Everyone views things differently. You never know how what one person says something to you might make you look at things in a different way. Now me personally, I know that you can never tell a parent (most importantly of all a mom) how to raise their child. I don’t know why but it seems like they always get mad, even I get mad when people tell be how to raise my child. I tell them they are better off suggesting something. So there are things that they tell you that you might already but give it a chanceNow the article that I came across is called “crying baby” and it basically talks about how when children cry it stresses out the parents. But the child just cries to let you know something is wrong, a newborn especially. A newborn baby cannot care for itself or do anything for him or herself Sometimes babies cry just to cry cause they are restless. Babies cry when they are hungry or have poo. Some cry ‘cause they are uncomfortable. They may be hot are cold, or maybe they toe is messed up in they sock. Little things like this are what you should be looking out for cause it counts. Babies cry a lot when they have gas or just overtired, and need a nap. The parents are probably tired stress or anything else you can think of, but you have to hold it out for your beautiful child. Something’s you can do is cuddle them, make sure you check all the basics like diaper, food, burp, you can have a thermometer to keep an eye on your child room temperature. If those things don’t work then you should take the child to the doctors. But after being around the child for the first couple of months you will find it works like schedule: when they cry and when they want to cuddle. To all the new parents I just want to say congrats, and it is a blessing to have a new edition to your family. So, hopefully my tips helped if not you can call a parent helpline There are many hotlines to help and you should never feel embarrassed. There is no such thing as a retarded question. |
