YO!
YO! is a collection of short pieces by the writers at Youth Outlook!
Just recently, I was on the phone with one of my friends, who also happens to be a stud. She knows that I am attracted to studs and although she personally is not, she has no problem with it and agrees that a female is a female, no matter how they dress. I was browsing around on Downelink.com, which is somewhat like a Myspace for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community. I logged on and saw I had a new friend request from a stud named Weston. She seemed cool, so I approved her request and decided to check out her page a bit more. At the top of her page, I saw a blog she had written called Stud on Stud. The blog was all about how disgusted she was by the thought of two studs being together. Her idea to write this blog was based off of another blog written by her friend who is a femme. The friend wasn’t exactly opposed to the whole stud on stud concept; she was simply wondering if “studs ever dream about f—king other studs”. Now, the thing that pissed me off about Weston’s blog was how much she claimed to love femme on femme, and how sexy she finds it. Honestly though, what is sexy about that? They’re just two females together who both happen to be quite feminine in the way they act and dress. As I scrolled down, I noticed she had 45 comments on the blog from other downelink users. It was split half and half. Some agreed, and some were totally appalled by her “theory”. Many of the women who commented said they didn’t understand how homophobic they were being, when they themselves are It doesn’t make any sense to me that a lesbian would say two studs together is nasty. That’s like saying two females together is nasty. Now isn’t that hypocritical? |
