YO!
YO! is a collection of short pieces by the writers at Youth Outlook!
[ filed under: technology conflict ] Oh, the Interweb; Home of uploaded videos, porn and glittery MySpace websites. Now, thanks to websites like Craigslist people can post requests for – well – everything. Literally. Things you wouldn’t normally post out of sheer common sense have made a place for themselves for all to see. Out of all the assassin movies I’ve seen in my life none of them have had someone post a ‘Assassin Wanted’ ad on a popular trade, exchange and rent website. I can see sex being a hot commodity in this case but – murder? Ann Marie Linscott, a Michigan resident was arrested for supposedly trying to hire a hit man. Allegedly Linscott wanted to kill the wife of a man she was having an affair with. Jealousy must make the human brain pretty dumb to post a hit man request on the Internet. I’m not an expert in the mind of an assassin but if you’re shopping around to have someone do your dirty work you should probably go through some other channels. I bet she had some friend who knew a friend who has a cousin who has a brother who does that sort of thing. But I truly wonder, at what point during the whole thought process of looking for the perfect assassin does Craigslist come to mind? |
